Each year, countries send their best and most outstanding talent to the During this heated week of events, competitors go head to head “Olympic-style” in a wide variety of competitions. In there's a fierce contest of skills to see who is truly the most accomplished in the world. Each winner gets a coveted gold medal which brings with it the respect and admiration of people around the world along with potentially a career opportunity of a lifetime including over $130,000 USD in scholarships. The incredible strength of national pride pushes every competitor to give their best in this "must see" event.

For centuries, there has been an exclusive “Olympics” for athletes excluding any non-sport activity or of achievement. This discriminatory practice is being corrected especially for the revered universe of performing artists by the successful creation of the “World Championships of Performing Arts” (WCOPA), cited as the one and only “official Talent Olympics” for aspiring performers and entertainers. After eleven years of incredible growth, it is the only premier international talent and modeling competition of its kind annually held in “Hollywood”, the entertainment capital of the world! Similar to the Olympics, only invited and qualified competitors (called Worldstars) representing countries compete each year in a fierce competition for “the gold”!

Like the Olympics, the finest aspiring talent and modeling competitors from countries are qualified and invited. Every contestant attending the World Championships of Performing Arts system is screened, qualified and selected under specific guidelines established by WCOPA, and executed by Scouts and licensed National Directors from the invited countries. Contestant-at-large procedures are available where there is no director.

Delegations of outstanding competitors from approximately forty (40) countries will be represented at both the Junior World Championships and the World Championships in “Hollywood”.

WORLDSTARS INTERNATIONAL Inc. organizes and manages The World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA), in concert with the InternationalSelection Council (ISC), which provides the foundation for this inventive annual worldwide talent awards program of “Worldstars”.

The objective is the annual production of the finest national, regional and international competitions for exceptional, aspiring performing artists! This prestigious global meet is for dedicated performers and entertainers, who want to train and learn, compare their talent to others and network. This “independent event” does not solicit nor get directly involved in of any type and does not guarantee employment as that is up to the agents, and others. This is an innovative contest with persons from the entertainment industry invited to judge and conduct seminars.
WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES FOR AN OFFICIAL CONTESTANT?

An official contestant must be a citizen and/or resident (or nationality) in good standing of the country represented, may be an amateur or professional, must have been qualified and invited as to World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) guidelines, and must comply with the rules and regulations established by the WCOPA. An “Official Contestant’s Handbook” is provided to each contestant describing details of and codes for the global competition.
WHAT ARE THE CATEGORIES OF COMPETITION?
There are six (6) categories of competition for Juniors (ages 5 to 15): dancing, singing, modeling, acting, instrumentals, variety arts:
JUNIOR: (1) 5 to 7 (2) 8 to 10 (3) 11 to 12 (4) 13 to 15
The six (6) categories for Senior competition (ages 16 and over) are: dancing, singing, modeling, acting, instrumentals, variety arts:
SENIOR: (1) 16 to 17 (2) 18 to 24 (3) 25 to 29 (4) 30 Plus

Like the Olympics, the IMPORTANT PRIZE is also the “GOLD”, symbolizing excellence! However, the invaluable and networking opportunities are the real “prizes” which every contestant receives! As well as winners being presented with a “Gold Medal” in every event category, style and age group at both the Junior and Senior World Championships, there are specific Overall Champions (individuals and groups) in:
JUNIOR: (1) 5 – 10 years (2) 11 – 15 years
SENIOR: (1) 16 – 24 years (2) 25 years and over
Approximately $300,000 in scholarships are awarded. The “Showcase finals” award Grand Champions in the various categories of competition with the ultimate coveted titles being “Junior” and “Senior” Grand Champion Performer of the World! They also get the opportunity to their careers as they have the opportunity to be seen and scouted by industry producers, talent agents, and agencies from Hollywood.

The competition this year is in its 21st year, and it will be staged at the Westin Bonaventure Long Beach, Los Angeles California, over the period of 9 days. JUNE 30 - JULY 9th, 2017.
